Just this past August 3+ yrs later, I was notified of a new assignment, in a different state. My wife made a call to Vivint to request assistance in terminating our home security due to my permanent change of station PCS. She was told that we have to fax a “NOTICE OF CANCELLATION” form that was provided and a copy of my
official AF PCS orders w/ a date Report no later than date indicating when I will physically be on my new duty assignment. I wanted me and my family to get a started w/ our move to our new location. I scheduled to have my final outprocessing done on late AUG from my previous duty station. I didn’t want to get charged for the month of SEP since we were no
longer going to live in our home so my wife called Vivint again to see what we can do to avoid getting billed for the month of SEP. A few days passed and we called Vivint to follow through w/ our request. When we called, they stated that they did not receive anything. Vivint suggested that I email them all documents to their email address: . I did what they suggested but when we called again, they did not receive it. By this time we were staying in a motel that we are still currently staying in, slowly transitioning to base housing.

As a company they are way more expensive than any other monitoring service that can do exactly what they have done. I will never recommend or use vivint again for home monitoring. I have paid faithfully every month for 3 years and I got a wall monitor and a doorbell
camera and a few window sensors, they used most of the old sensors that were in my home at install. I have paid over 60 a month for 3 years over $2100 and somehow figure I still owe $1500 more to buy out you my contract. This company is ripping people off with that service and cost. I will also be making a formal complaint to the BBB about this. I have the messages the agent sent me saying I needed to send and email and call to confirm and my account would be canceled with in 30 days, not one time mentioning me owing any amount or having to buy out any contract.
